It’s that time of year again for HR (or hopefully your organization’s your social committee) to pull together the perfect holiday office party. I have to admit it, no matter how many strategic planning documents I present in the boardroom, or how many layoff notices I have to deliver, the REAL stress I feel at work is always around the social functions I am asked to plan. It always seems so tough to please everyone, to think of every detail, and to stay on budget… And this holiday season it’s even tougher, as most organizations are looking for serious ways to trim the fat from corporate programs such as parties and team-building. |

I know it’s been a tough year around here. Lower bonuses, lay-offs, and let’s not forget about that softball incident (actually, I think we should-I had nightmares for days about what happened to that chicken…). But a new year is fast approaching and hopefully a fresh start for all of us as well. So, in the spirit of the season (and lots of prompting from the CEO) I would like to share with you, dear staff, my resolutions for the 2010. I hope they reflect your needs and prompt you to try getting your own lives in order also.
